QUESTIONS

HOW DO I BOOK YOU? Portrait collections require a $100 retainer fee to book your session. Once retainers are paid and the contract is signed, you're booked! Accepted forms of payment are Paypal, Venmo, Check, and cash.
 
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK? I recommend scheduling your session 1 month in advance to ensure I have openings, but don't be afraid to text, call, or email me and see if I have an opening. Spring and Fall are very busy seasons, so book quickly.
 
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY TO SCHEDULE OUR PORTRAIT SESSION? WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR? Lighting is best 1 hour after sunrise and 1 hour before sunset. The sun can be very harsh mid-day and softer light ensures quality photos. You don't want to be too matchy- matchy but you also don't want to not match at all. Play around with colors, prints, and accessories! Pinterest is your friend for outfitideas and if you still need help I am here for you :)
 
WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR FINAL IMAGES? Portrait galleries are ready within 1-2 weeks. During busy months (May-October) the turnaround time may take a little longer.
 
HOW ARE MY FINAL IMAGES DELIVERED? Sneak peek photos are posted on Facebook and/or Instagram, like my pages and keep an eye out! Blog posts with highlights from your session may be posted as well. When final images are ready all clients receive a link and password to an online gallery. The photos can be downloaded from the gallery and saved to a computer or downloaded to your mobile device.
 
HOW MANY FINAL IMAGES CAN WE EXPECT TO RECEIVE? 2 Hour sessions produce a minimum of 60 images, 60 minute sessions produce a minimum of 30 images and 30 minute sessions produce a minimum of 15 images.
 
ARE IMAGES EDITED? ARE PRINTS AND ALBUMS INCLUDED? Yep! I am a firm believer in using my camera settings to create lovely images but I do touch up exposure and color. Black and white images are available as well and edited at my discretion. Prints and albums are included in select collections. An a la carte menu is available for additional ordering. Printing through the online gallery or custom ordering through Cody Moffat Photography is recommended to ensure quality printed images.
 
DO YOU TRAVEL? Absolutely! I want to see all of this great planet. Travel is included within Salt Lake, Utah, and Wasatch County UT. Travel fees may apply to any locations outside of that area. I am also available for destination weddings and portraits.
 
CAN I POST MY PHOTOS TO FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM AND OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA? Of course! Cody Moffat Photography retains the copyright to all photos but please by all means share your photos with the world. Feel free to tag yourself in anything posted on Facebook. I just ask that your photos are only used for personal purposes. If you would like to publish your photos for commercial use then I do require that you receive my written permission. A quick shout out or photo credit doesn't hurt either ;)
 
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY? ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES? WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE/CANCEL? All retainers, monies and fees paid are non-refundable. I encourage clients to reschedule their session for another date should they need to cancel. Utahs sales tax, 6%, is applied to all event and session fees. Travel fees may be added to locations more than 50 miles from Kamas, UT. I understand that life happens and there are some things that can be out of your control, such as illnesses or unfortunate weather circumstances. I am very flexible with rescheduling portrait sessions. Please contact me as early as possible if there is a need to reschedule your portrait session.
 
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? I have a natural and photo journalistic approach to photography. My style is vibrant, bright, and dramatic. My goal is to bring your vision to life with the experience, creativity and skills of telling stories through photos.
 
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER? WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED? I have been photographing families since 2012 and weddings since 2013. I am seasoned in a variety of lighting situations but prefer to shoot closest to sunset or sunrise to ensure quality images. I am fully insured and come prepared with backup equipment, extra batteries and tons of memory.
 
WHAT IF MY PHOTOS ARE LOST? I back up all my photos for 10 years. If you were to ever loose them I would be more than happy to replace them for you.
